On 2023/01/20, Dr. Michael Bohm, postdoc at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, came to Toyama to give a seminar about his research on the "control and automation of adaptive structures and active facade systems within the smart cities of tomorrow". It was a very interesting topic about the combination between control engineering and architecture.
Dr. Michael Bohm has met Yamauchi, Assistant Professor at the Tokyo University, in Tokyo in December 2022. Yamauchi also came to Toyama to join the seminar. I was very happy to meet Yamauchi again!

January 21, 2023.
The next day, Yamauchi, Michael, and I visited Toyama. Funny enough, I've never visited some very beautiful places in Toyama even though I've lived here for 2 years... Thanks, Yamauchi, for showing me Toyama! First, we went to the Toyama castle and then to the famous glass museum in Toyama.

Next, we went to the famous Starbucks of Toyama. Very romantic with lots of families and couples. I didn't even know it existed. Thanks, Yamauchi for making me visit my own town.

January 26, 2023.
On 2023/01/25, Prof. Hirata, Miwa, Morikita, and I went to Waseda University for a business trip on our energy-related project. Unfortunately, Kajiwara and Kitajima couldn't join us because they are writing their Master theses... However, on 2023/1/26, Miwa gave a presentation about our progress. It was a nice presentation.
