Pepe Maestre's Seminar in Nagoya

On 8/29, Satoshi invited me to Nagoya Institute of Technology to attend the seminar of Prof. Pepe Maestre from the Systems and Automation Engineering Department of the University of Seville. It happens that Satoshi met him when studying in Belgium in 2017-2018 and Pepe knows my former advisor and some of my colleagues in Belgium. What a small world!

Satoshi introducing Pepe to the audience. The talk was about Predictive Control in Cyber-physical and Distributed Systems.

Pepe gave a very interesting seminar about Model Predictive Control. The talk was broken down into MPC, distributed MPC, and coalitional MPC. We had the opportunity to discuss the various applications of such framework in the control of canals and robotics. Very interesting!

Afterwards, we went for dinner altogether. A very nice evening with everyone!
